The buffer storage unit in Ilsemann Automation’s handling units absorbs the energy gained from the motors during braking and makes it available to the drive again during acceleration.

The capacitor module thus acts like a rechargeable battery, ensuring that the production process can be completed safely even in the event of an unstable power supply.

Our systems can therefore also be used in countries with limited power quality without any further protective measures.

This intermediate storage can also significantly reduce the energy consumption of the gantry.
